Post 214: We are a Community of Teachers
One of the traits of a good writer is knowing one's purpose and one's audience. For this blog, my audience are fellow teachers. My purpose in writing this blog is to provide a forum where teachers as a community can discuss best teaching practices or let our hair down after a long day of teaching.
I invite people to share comments on inspirational teaching moments and how you got to those inspirational teaching moments.
Why do you teach?
What drives you to teach every day?
What motivates you when you get up in the morning?
What were your most inspirational moments in your teaching?
What are your proudest moments?
What hardships have you overcome?
What advice do you give to younger teachers?
How can we improve our teaching?
How can we gain respect from others as teachers?
What professional organizations do you all belong?
Come share with me on this blog the answers to all these intriguing questions and let's start a community of teachers where we can learn together to better our profession. The more we share with each other as teachers, the more we can foster a feeling of community and belonging. So share with me your best teaching stories here on this blog!
