Post 477: Preparing my Writing Class for their Week 11 Peer Review Forum in 4 weeks
Currently, I teach a 12 week writing class for my nursing students. Right now, my class is doing their Week 7 Forum where they are posting their topics for their Essay 2, Comparison Contrast Essay, which will be their last essay in this class. While I am participating in this forum for this week, I am also busy setting up my classroom for the Week 11 Peer Review forum by adding extra tips for students on how to conduct a Peer Review. In the Week 11 Peer Review forum, I added this fun out of this world tip for my students:
Despite the fact my students are adult working nursing students and that Bitmoji classrooms were originally intended for teaching kids during this pandemic year, I have had great success using Bitmoji classrooms to brighten up my online classrooms. My adult students tell me that these Bitmoji classrooms really brighten up their day after a hard day working at a hospital or a clinic, and these classrooms bring a smile to my adult nursing students' faces. After all, why should kids have all the fun right?
In addition, I find it fun making these classrooms to express my social presence and fun teaching personality. As a result of these colorful and fun classrooms, my students tell me that my English class is their favorite class at Fortis College.
